What is 50five charging management?

At 50five, we offer charging management subscriptions, also known as a CPO subscription, that complete your EV experience! You can take out this subscription in combination with the purchase and installation of one or more charging stations, but you can also request it separately if you already have a charging station. A charging management subscription is, in practice, an almost indispensable service. It is useful for starting and stopping charging sessions at your own charging station, but you can also use this card to charge at public charging stations.   • Service: in case of problems, the technician will be on site within 3 working days.
  • Call-out and labour costs are included.

Select the option to add charging station maintenance to your subscription via the registration form. This subscription costs an additional €5.00 per charge point.

Short description of subscriptions

Our charging subscriptions for private individuals are ideal for people with a home charger for private use or for business/lease drivers with a charging station at home. With these subscriptions, you have an overview of your charging sessions in the charging management platform. For these subscriptions, you need a 50five charging tag. We charge a one-time fee for shipping the 50five charging tag. Depending on the chosen subscription, these costs may vary. Once the request has been submitted, these costs will be processed and the amount will be included on the next subscription invoice.

With the Private Start charging subscription, you can use the 50five app. There, you can go for questions, self-support, insights into your charging sessions and use our AI agent, Nova. With the Private Complete charging subscription, you can automatically settle charging costs with your employer, leasing company or accountant, and you can choose to open your charging station to third parties. This means that other cards can also be used to charge at this charging station. This is useful, for example, if your partner also wants to charge at home with their own charging card from their own employer. With the Private Complete subscription, you also benefit from 24/7 active monitoring and proactive fault resolution (A.I.), so you can charge with as little interruption as possible.

Do you manage charge points for a company? Then we offer two subscriptions. The Business Start subscription is ideal if you do not have too many charge points at your company. You can use the 50five app and the 50five web portal to manage the charge points. For example, you can add charging cards and easily manage who has access to your charge points. The Business Complete subscription is ideal when charger management is more complex. You get access to our Charge Manager, where you can easily manage charge points, subscriptions, charging cards and rates. With the Business Complete subscription, you also benefit from 24/7 active monitoring and proactive fault resolution (A.I.), so you can charge with as little interruption as possible.

Would you like extra peace of mind around your charging station? Then choose the additional maintenance subscription. We carry out preventive maintenance once every 2 years, are available 24/7 and will be on site within 3 working days in case of malfunctions. All call-out and labour costs are included. This extends the lifespan of your charging station, prevents malfunctions and keeps the installation safe and reliable.

Frequently asked questions about charging management

What is CPO?

CPO stands for Charge Point Operator. A CPO is a company that installs charging stations and manages them for you. This company can install and maintain the charging stations and handle the distribution of electricity to charging stations.

Can I also use my 50five charging management card at other charging stations?

Yes, you can use the 50five charging card at other public charging stations when roaming is activated. With a charging management subscription (CPO) from 50five, you receive a card on which our (e)MSP services are also activated. This means that with this physical card, you can not only start/stop your home charging session, but you can also use the same card at more than 37,000 public charging stations to charge your car (eMSP service).

We do not supply the physical 50five card as standard, but we ask you during our registration process whether you need the card. You may already have a charging card from another provider, or your employer may have agreements with a charging card provider. In that case, automatic settlement of the charging costs will be handled through that party. In that case, you do not need a physical 50five card to start/stop your home charger. We prepare your charging station so that the card from your other card provider can start your charging sessions at home.

From whom will I receive an invoice for the charging management subscription?

The invoice or payout may come from Threeforce BV. Threeforce invoices subscriptions and transactions on behalf of 50five and, where applicable, also handles the payout of reimbursements.

Can I use another charging card on my home charger?

Yes, that is possible. To start a charging session with a card that is ‘foreign’ to your charging station, we need to configure this on the charging station. This is also referred to as opening the charging station to third parties or guest use. We configure this remotely for you, so the charging station can read multiple cards. You need the Private Complete subscription for this. Without this subscription, it is not possible to recover the costs of the charging session from the ‘foreign’ card provider.
