50five accelerates its development in France with a strengthened management team
50five is strengthening its position in the French e-mobility market with the appointment of Tanguy Leiglon as Sales Director. His arrival completes the French management team, led by Stef Meers, General Manager of 50five France.
Building on a strong foundation
50five has been active in France since May 2025, following the takeover of Shell Recharge Solutions’ installed base of home and workplace charging infrastructure. Since then, the French organisation has ensured continuity for existing customers while expanding its services and developing new projects and partnerships.
Founded in the Netherlands and backed since 2022 by investors advised by J.P. Morgan Asset Management, 50five has established itself as one of Europe’s leading charge point operators (CPO) and e-mobility service providers. The 50five Group is active in 12 countries and manages more than 160,000 active charging stations. To date, its platforms have processed over 44 million charging transactions and delivered more than 803 million kWh of energy.
Today, 50five France supports businesses, fleets, multi-site organisations, public-sector organisations and e-mobility partners with a complete range of services. These include the design and installation of charging infrastructure, monitoring and management, operations, maintenance, smart charging and intelligent energy management.
“50five has already built a solid operational foundation in France. We are therefore not entering the French market today; we are moving into the next phase of our development,” says Stef Meers.
Strengthening the French organisation
As Sales Director, Tanguy Leiglon will focus on accelerating 50five’s commercial growth and building long-term partnerships across the French B2B, B2B2C and public-sector markets.
“The French EV charging market is entering a new phase. Customers increasingly expect reliable operations, service continuity and intelligent energy management throughout the lifetime of their charging infrastructure,” says Tanguy Leiglon.
